My pals at @vidiots.bsky.social created an interactive experience during the film breaking fakeout scene in their screening of Gremlins 2: The New Batch last weekend. It's even better than what I had hoped to do in 1990! 😁

Only three episodes in, but this new season of Always Sunny is already kinda stunning, starting with their Abbott Elementary crossover, the "sweet" conclusion to episode two and their takedown of The Bear in the latest episode that must've felt cathartic to them. 17 seasons? Still one of the best.

I do remember "Stoned" being on HBO later on, but I don't remember the other two. Also, in "Zapped," Baio's character's name was Barney Springboro.

I submitted a proposal for the Until The End Of The World Soundtrack, which might be too obscure of a movie, even if the artists on the soundtrack are anything but. If they could only pick one soundtrack, this is a good one to lose to. Congrats, Leor!!!

I really hope you find a light that takes you out of this darkness. The world needs your words and your voice. The people you write about have great appreciation and admiration for you and your writing does cause a ripple effect of positivity. It's not always seen or felt on our end, but it's there.

#letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched Been catching up with Warmer Archive blu-rays this week. Mixed results, but I loved hearing Oliver Stone on a commentary track talking about how he loves Capraesque endings and feel-good movies, while constantly name-dropping every film he ever made.

That feeling of doing a nearly 2-hour podcast on a film, then writing 2,000+ words on that same film and feeling like you never once came close to nailing it.

I happened to watch "Silent Rage" last night, not knowing I was watching it on the anniversary of his death. I'm glad Chuck Norris was nice to him.

Last 4 Friday. "Bridget Jones" for podcast prep. Hosted a screening of "Time Bandits" at Elk Grove Theater. And a movie I should've given 5 stars, but really not crazy about some of the choices made with this otherwise amazing show. #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched
