And one of the things about getting overwhelmed, or burnt out, or whatever you want to call it, is that it’s like falling into a pit. You have to ACTIVELY work to get out of that pit.

You can relax and try to center yourself all you want, but if you ever want to get out of that pit, it’s ACTIVE.

Yeah, episode 1 alone feels like it has a full arc's worth in it. It slows down as the season goes on, IMO.

what if it cost several million dollars to order one semi truck. not “worth of computer”. the truck carrying your computer. and also your computer can never be serviced. furthermore your computer is constantly bombarded with high energy ionizing radiation. oh and there’s no heat sink.

My understanding is also that satellite electronics need to either be radiation-hardened (more expensive) or do extra fault-correction computations (slower). Usually that means designers try to minimize computation up there, but data centers would be doing nothing but computation.

A smaller version of this happened IRL. A company I worked for changed the name of one of their products from "Cogito" to "Caboodle". The overwhelming response from clients was "Switch it back! Please don't make me put 'Expert in Caboodle' on my resume."
