I was … somewhat…excited for it when I first saw the trailer until I saw Jared’s face and immediately was like…aw man, come on?! Really?! Are we not done with him yet? And each subsequent trailer shows he is the main character and I’m…deeply uninterested.

I think I misunderstood the assignment

It was such a waste cause this subplot is actually a season. Like the first half was actually two seasons if they played it right. Everything was played two fast. It was four ~2 hour movies when nothing was able to breathe and I was like…will I come back for season 3? Yes. But I will bitch about it

If it’s not the correct answer it’s definitely too 2. And the 1999 German theater production amps it up that much further. the English language stage version (which they restaged in Germany and Austria and has two more cast albums) is far inferior and terrible storytelling. I said what I said!

This this this. I’ve been saying it since it came out. So confused by the “it’s so underrated and the best” one discourse.

I will say that the “adult” actors are always a treat but they have the LAZIEST “Tim Burton-y” designs for the creatures. Like the Hyde could actually be cool and menacing and bad ass and slightly scary. Instead we’ve got this dumbass, wall-eyed, sexless, non-intimidating beast.

And already have moved on from any of the cool things that I would’ve discussed about the season. But then again…8 episodes means you’ve rushed through the season and it needed a little more breathing room to really earn any of the reveals/emotional moments.

I also want to say that Netflix’s model is broken. Releasing season two four weeks apart and with four episodes each…like, my dudes! You could’ve had people talking about the show for 8 continuous weeks instead, I finished part two the day after it came out and have to wait 2 years for season 3
