I was describing to my student that there really isn’t a true definition of “jazz” in a musical sense when he said “so it’s just a vibe” and; I don’t think there is a better answer. “Jazz is a vibe” is literally probably the best definition I have heard.

Thank you. I still don’t fully understand how it is a more productive option. As a teacher if someone asked me to do something that was egregious to a student I would say “no” it would gum up the works for a long time before they found someone who would. Putting a career on the line in this case

Agreed, like okay now they get replaced by a MAGA. We need more people to say “no”
