Yes I’ve just been introduced to Bold politics - thank you - I wasn’t aware. I’ll subscribe!

I’m still worried that GB news has huge viewing figures on mainstream TV.

Heard they are expanding into the US which will only increase MAGAs influence here.

Zach is giving me hope in scary times.

Thank you. I hadn’t heard of Bold Politics - looks great! And maybe utube & podcasts are the future.

But I’m still worried about traditional telly - just read that in August 2025 GB news was the most watched of all TV news sources..!!?

Despite it also being the ‘least trusted’ of course.

Yes. Sadly you’re right. Ofcom should be challenging the hate speech and the bias, but they’re not and that explains it.

Ofcom needs an overhaul. Do key positions like the chair have a limited tenure? How do you regulate the regulator …soon need an ofofcom!!?

Democracy is worryingly fragile.

Yes they are absolutely tripping over themselves with frothing fury.. so I hope you are right, and that people who watch those programmes can see through it.

Beginning to think that the Greens need to fund their own TV chat programme to rival GB news.

Wall to wall coverage of Green & left leaning policy ideas with facts, science, inclusivity, kindness & hope.
How about it.

England is now experiencing a significant Covid wave, after 10 months of relative quiet The latest Covid situation in England and a look at where NHS services are as we head into winter

"Well it was nice while it lasted. We had an unprecedented 10 months of low and stable Covid levels in England - but this is now over. We are seeing a definite, significant wave of Covid infections across England."

It’s not “the Labour argument for controlling immigration.”

It’s just a Far Right position adopted by Labour. It’s that simple, and people need to stop being in denial of that fact.

It is not good for “race relations“ for racialised people to be talked about as a problem. It’s racism.

Dear

Thank you very much for contacting me about your concerns regarding access to Covid-19 vaccination for Clinically Vulnerable people. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your email.

I am pleased to be able to confirm that the new Labour government is committed to strengthening our public health response and reducing health inequalities. Labour's recent commitments and statements have made clear that the principle of universal and fair access to vaccines particularly for those who are medically at-risk must be central to our national strategy.

In Parliament, Labour MPs have called for a rapid review of JCVI eligibility criteria and for the reinstatement of free Covid-19 vaccination for all Clinically Vulnerable people, in line with the existing approach to NHS flu vaccinations. Many have highlighted, as you do, that the logic and evidence for including all at-risk groups in annual booster rollouts are overwhelming, given the ongoing pandemic context and emergence of new variants.

Our party's manifesto commits to taking advice from clinicians and scientists and to working closely with NHS England to ensure that support for the most vulnerable is not withdrawn on cost grounds especially when this may lead to greater suffering and increased NHS pressure. There is widespread concern across Parliament about the risk of deepening health inequality and placing the cost burden of essential preventative care onto those least able to shoulder it.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your concerns so powerfully.

Best wishes,

Dr Beccy Cooper MP

If billionaires don’t contribute then they really aren’t good for our economy - they buy up all the assets like housing & land & their presence forces up prices for the rest of us.

Luckily many want to stay & contribute -they too want to live in a happy well functioning country without poverty.

If you have long covid and want to know if you have POTS, a first step can be to do a simple standing lean test yourself at home with a blood pressure and heart rate monitor and a pen and paper.

A third of Long Covid patients have POTS, which can feel like anxiety.
POTS can be helped with lifestyle changes & medications so it’s really worth checking, even if you are not feeling dizzy or fainting. Maybe do a simple standing lean test at home with just a blood pressure & heart rate monitor.

Yet in the UK the NHS GP doesn’t automatically screen for POTS when they meet a long covid patient!

There are effective safe medications for POTS, but GPs can’t prescribe them, & it’s hard to find a consultant.

Here the average time from getting POTS symptoms to getting a diagnosis is 7years! 🤯
