The UK had by my calculations, per capita, twice the number of fatalities as the Republic of Ireland. Ireland wasnโt exactly gold standard. Experts were begging the UK govt & opposition to follow basic science, to no avail. The UK scientific establishment was silent. Only Independent SAGE spoke out

this study highlights that Long Covid remains a risk with every Covid infection, including for children and adolescents.
Particularly relevant as the Children's module opens for the UK Inquiry.
It's nonsense to say that children are and were at no risk from Covid.

Long COVID, a condition with similar symptoms and starting, like most cases of ME/CFS, after an infection, has one genetic association near FOXP4 (72), but this was not shared with ME/CFS (p = 0.59 for rs9367106).

Today is #SevereMEDay ๐
Around 1 in 4 people with ME are severely affected by the condition.
They experience extreme physical, cognitive and sensory dysfunction that leaves them bed or housebound.
My GP fired me last year.
She didn't feel it was fair that we said that she seemed to know nothing about my illness.
She had admitted that she hadn't read anything about ME/CFS yet, even though I had been her patient for over two years at that point.
17 GPs refused to take me on as a patient.
