People who a week ago “can’t understand a word of Spanish” are now apparently experts in translating Puerto Rican slang.

I haven’t seen an accurate one because the ones I’ve seen still include some of the words that I did not hear him sing. The other problem is that some words don’t translate well.. in that the English equivalent is more taboo than it is when spoken in Spanish

Like they’re so worried about people hearing those lyrics that they go and… bring more attention to those lyrics????

You know what’s hilarious? So many bigots are posting on social media things like “OMG! These Bad Bunny lyrics are DISGUSTING, let me read a translation of them for you”

Then they read lyrics he didn’t even perform at the Super Bowl. So the people actually guilty of “spreading filth” are the bigots

Is anyone else’s targeted ads just a bunch of countries offering citizenship to Americans? No? Just me??

You know one thing that sucks about jury duty as a teacher? You spend your prep time doing sub plans for the day your summoned, only to find out that night that your jury duty has been canceled and you did all that labor for nothing.

Note to self: Being the Spanish teacher in your building means every single person you interact with today will ask your opinion on the Bad Bunny performance

I was SOOO happy that a lot of my students said along the lines of “I thought about Spanish class when he started naming all the countries. That’s exactly what we’re learning right now”

The essential question that guides my 5th grade Spanish class is “Who are the people of the Americas?” so of course I added a clip of Bad Bunny naming all of the places in the “Americas” in my slides this morning.
