Logline and content warning page. Please read them carefully. Set in Antique North Africa, "Womb of her Womb" is a story about a girl's life after her grandmother's death. Not everyone is destined to move on. Content warning: delusion, death, grief, eye gore, gore, lots of blood, uncomfortable sexual stuff happening.

The girl as a child is on the carpet, looking spooked by what she sees on the wall: the shadow of the oil lamp moving on their own. « And when I opened my eyes- It appeared in front of me— »

The protagonist looks down to other characters, with a creepy smile on her face. Behind her, we see the same shadowy figure form before hovering behind her, a clawed hand on its shoulder. The girl: About earlier… « -Delivered on a silver plate » The girl: I accept.

Just before Christmas, I got a puppy. Her name is Minerva, and we call her *Minnie. I'm still learning how to understand her. Me: Do you need to go outside? Do you need to go outside, little baby? Do you need to do a poo? Do you need to do a widdle piddle? Minnie: Arf! *I just call her "little baby" most of the time. I'm also realizing I can't turn off the baby talk now. Nobody tells you about that.

I got so lucky with my first puppy. Her wonderful foster parents had her completely house-trained by the time we adopted her, so taking her outside for potty time has been pretty easy. I've got the puppy poopy routine pretty much down, now. Me, putting on my coat: Let's see... I got the little poopy bags, puppy treats for bribes, jacket, scarf, phone… I think that's everything… Oh yes! And my passport.

I had been carrying around my passport for a while, but I knew it didn't matter. This is wrong. Nobody is required to carry around their papers. I became a US citizen when I was seven. Since I was born in a refugee camp, I was stateless. The US is the only nation where I've ever held citizenship. It's the only passport I've ever had, and it still felt important. Protective. I would hold it in my pocket like a talisman, like it might ward off ghosts or something. But I realized I was holding onto it basically out of superstition. ICE will pick up anybody. I know that. So I tucked my passport away. And I largely avoid leaving my house.

I live a few blocks just South of George Floyd Square. I was in the neighborhood for that, too. And all the neighbors came together to protect each other. We're already organized. We'll do our best to get through this. Me, to my dog: I hope I can take you for a walk someday soon. Won't that be nice, little baby?

Look at the hundreds of people in that community in Minneapolis who ran TOWARDS the danger. Look at those who documented in their heads what happened so they could accurately recount it afterwards, look at those currently out protesting. Pay attention & do your part too.

Human brains feed off of negativity. Negative thoughts are easily digested and play in a loop in your mind all of the time. The reality, however, is that there is also A LOT OF GOOD happening every single minute. You have to do more work to pay attention to the good but it's worth it.

i always like seeing textiles and tools through different ages 👀 sewing, lace work, knitting, etc. is always neat to see!

ok so it doesn't matter that it was an "american citizen" that was killed. they killed an innocent person full stop. highlighting citizenship status doesn't make it more important for people to pay attention, it shouldn't, bc the fact of the matter is an innocent person was shot and killed.

I know we've got a lot to be stressed about right now AND ALSO the abandonment of public health practices in the US is part and parcel of the systemic abandonment and cruelty we've been dealing with. I'm just tired of seeing well-meaning people not even consider masking and COVID safety anymore.

To put this in perspective: in 2022, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported 42,514 deaths. The CDC estimated about 21,000 flu-related deaths across 2022-2023.

What exactly will it take for y'all to recognize the pandemic never ended?

There are two demonstrations today starting at 3 pm in Federal Plaza in Chicago. It's too cold out for my troubled spine, but my heart is with everyone who protests. The people of Venezuela should determine their own future, and make no mistake: this is about robbing us of our freedoms as well.
