Britain’s Lib Dems want to ditch their NIMBY tag and scoop up climate voters The U.K.’s third party believes green policy is the way to hoover up Tory-backers.

It's great to see @eddavey.libdems.org.uk & the @libdems.org.uk unashamedly push progressive environmental policies that strengthen our economy.

I was delighted to win an award at the Scottish Environment Link Nature Champion Awards yesterday evening, for campaigning for the protection of sand eels. They are an important source of food for birds, including puffins, and are now protected from commercial fishing.

Thank you Tim: our environment knows no borders - coal pollution could've impacted both Cumbria and Scotland, around 50 miles away.

Also great to see you champion British coastal tidal projects and investment! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

@susan4ed.bsky.social: Lib Dem MP Mark Wilkinson introduced the 'Sunshine Bill' requiring new homes to gave solar panels, and has been pressing the Labour government since then. Locally we've had positive Heated Buildings forums in Mid Dunbartonshire.

Cllr Barrett: In Perth and Kinross, we've been dispersing Green funds which has gone towards tree planting, EV charging points, wildflowers & much more.

Although the Council can only directly control around 5% of emissions from P&K, we can influence up to 80% of emitters.

Ray: There is a proposal for a 'Just Transition Commission' UK-wide, just like there is in Scotland, as well as an ombudsman. These could help look at Green Skills especially, and ensure investment in British-led supply chains for green infrastructure.

Sanne: The condition of Scotland's rivers and coast is cause for concern and a scandal we'll not let go unchallenged. Our waterways and their reliant ecosystems deserve the clearest possible quality.
