Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.
Remember them the next time youβre inclined to write an area off because βthey voted for this.β
very much hoping @netflix.com doesn't capitulate to right-wing anti-LGBTQ+ pressure. if they were to cave, I will cancel my subscription immediately

23.09.2025 04:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The most powerful force in American politics today is antiestablishment rage at a system thatβs rigged against most people.
Democrats should ignore the carping of corporate and Wall Street Democrats and embrace Mamdani and other young progressives as the future of the party.
The only way the media can be held accountable for its Republican bias is if Democratic elected officials start telling people to unsubscribe and stop watching and give their attention and money to, well, fair and balanced outlets, which today means βleft leaningβ.
03.07.2025 12:09 β π 42 π 6 π¬ 1 π 0Thinking right now about that period 14 months ago when lefties were portraying Joe Biden as something akin to a fascist dictator. I took a lot of heat for saying people were being ridiculous and that those attacks on Biden would age extremely poorly if Trump won. And now here we are.

Seems like a big story, but it doesn't have "Gaza magic word bingo" in it, so who knows?
Also the entire news media. There's really not that many Democrats on the anti-Mamdani beat but curiously virtually all of them are getting prime slots on cable news shows as if they speak for all Democrats. It makes you think!

CNN:

65% want Cong auth
Reuters:
Only 36% approve of bombing
Will that hold amid truce? I think it might. Media is assuming voters will reflexively reward him for war. Let's not assume that.

I'm sorry but the largest protest of my lifetime is not the 7th or 8th biggest news story in the country behind "what does Gen Z want from Instagram?" This shit is humiliating. Rearrange your layout to meet this moment. Omitting the thing happening in every American city is malpractice.

You will feel better.
