Demographics are not destiny. Organizing is what matters. Republicans win countywide because they currently organize better.

Berks County is much closer to 50/50 than its reputation; Democrats win in areas they fight and organize.

Republicans continue to dominate in many outlying areas of Berks County, but the move of the western suburbs has been an interesting thing to watch since about 2016.

Exeter Township, PA, a large township to the east of Reading (I graduated from high school here) had an interesting result. The lone Dem won by far the most votes, and the incumbent Republican accused of being a RINO got the second spot.

Wyomissing, PA, historic Republican stronghold, has completed its move to Democratic.

Berks County, PAa update (55 miles outside Philadelphia):

Democratic Judge Eric Taylor WON after all the ballots were counted.

Voters also voted for the statewide Democratic judges.

County Dems failed to run candidates in four countywide races.

Larry Krasner has won his third term tonight against D->R former judge Pat Dugan by a larger percentage (50% > 44%), and by far a larger vote margin (168K > 95K), than he won four years ago against the criminal defense lawyer who had a section on his campaign website titled "The Girl In My Bathtub."

Dems have swept all five row offices in the crucial swing county of Bucks County, PA, by about a 56-44 margin, including my longtime friends Joe Khan and Danny Ceisler being elected District Attorney and Sheriff, respectively. We swept all four open common pleas judgeships. This is a great night.

They lost judge 52/48, they could've taken some of these offices if they fielded a slate

Berks County Democrats running exactly zero candidates for countywide row offices has to be considered one of the biggest Democratic blunders of this election in PA

Dauphin County Democrats take four of five countywide races, only losing to our weird Republican Coroner.

Dems also won on the school board

Derry Township, which is Hershey, PA has fallen. Dems ousted the sitting Republican Chair of the Board of Supervisors and also defeated the other Republican incumbent.
