For bigger cash balances there are a few companies with retail accounts where you play the “spread your money across multiple banks to keep within government insurance levels” game - but I imagine they become unmanageable if you’re sitting on a truly large cash piles

I'd assumed FB, Google and that ilk build up profiles of "everyone", augmenting with all-the-data to reach "this person has an Amex card, is ABC1, drives a Ford and follows the Tory party", which they feed into online ad auctions (for example)

Do they aggregate/augment data from other sources to build up a larger profile i.e Tesco club card data/credit card purchases etc?
