I started taking melatonin about 2 weeks ago to try and get some control over my insomnia, and it really has led to an improvement in sleep quality. I more often than not get at least 7 hours of good, restorative sleep.

A fighter flew over Humboldt Park, too. Very low and very fast. The Air and Water Show is still a month away, and practice is the week before. This was something trying to get somewhere very fast, but I was listening to news radio 780 for a bit afterwards and they didn't mention anything.

Did fighter jets just fly over Humboldt Park?

Funny thing is, I reported this email as spam because I just assumed it was from a political candidate or party. I didn't even read it, let alone assume it could possibly actually be from the SSA.

I realize now, 3 months later, how Northside-centric my list of neighborhoods is. Really, my point is we should be matching in every neighborhood, everywhere in Chicago, not just downtown for the police and tourists.

There's a children's carnival going on in the park. Anything to harass families.

Every night (including right now as I type this at 11pm) they buzz the park with a helicopter for hours after the carnival ends.

Why are we paying for this?

What purpose does the helicopter that hovers over the carnival at Humboldt Park serve, other than to harass Chicagoans? It's utterly pointless. Every year it just circles, creating stress, forcing us to close our windows. Why? To make sure families leave a carnival? Why are we paying for it?

And so low! The police will do anything to harass families enjoying a carnival...
