I’m a little more worried about AI making the administrative systems that I interact with bad than my job prospects.

I’m sure I can make myself useful with computers despite AI, but if some poorly written tax system decides I somehow cheated there might not be much I can do.

I think a lot of the sloppy software will just be allowed to run with sporadic AI driven fixes every once in a while.

It wasn’t like software quality was great before LLMs and many companies silently accepted that.
