A reminder that no matter how much money ICE has, they don't have enough people to disappear us all. We outnumber them by a lot, they know it, and they're really hoping we don't. The immediate consequences for opposing them are a lot less than the long term consequences of letting them loose

Tangentially related, but a year or so back my family did our annual rewatch of A Muppet Christmas Carol, and the Disney+ version had this whole song edited out. Like, a pretty major one that showed how Scrooge’s obsession with his work drove away the one person he loved when he was younger

Oh yeah, it really can't be underestimated the degree to which people in general and boomers especially tend to believe that the way things were when they were children is eternal and immutable, as opposed to being a series of trends that lasted for like 5 years
