I cannot stand the fact that creatives are also blurring the lines of AI and making it "permissible" in our spaces. MIT is literally coming out with studies about the harm AI does to our brains. Maybe try a book for research perhaps? A single article? Anything but AI, generative or assistive?
27.06.2025 23:59 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I've been doing a lot of deconstructing and reconstructing over the last year/year and a half. It's been so eye-opening reading these books and studied that feel so "taboo" simply for offering diverse perspectives on harm, history, and the Bible.

This made me sick to my stomach. Du Mez does an amazing job tracing the threads of the evangelical to alt right pipeline through history, presenting how we got where we are in the US. #booksky ๐๐

Written by a former Moonie and Cult Expert, Hassan puts Trump's first presidency under the lens of cults and manipulation tactics. Excellent analysis. #booksky ๐๐
Review: Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher

I love T. Kingfisher's fairy-tale style of storytelling. This was dark and rich in lore. Chef's kiss! #booksky ๐๐

Review: Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler

This book did not let up. Poignant and terrifying, Butler built a world that feels far too close on the horizon. Loved this. #booksky ๐๐

As a survivor, Amanda's narrative weaving of her path towards justice felt like a step towards healing for me. I loved the way her story followed her life at different stages. Beautiful. #booksky ๐๐
I trudged through the series and ended up hating every minute of it. Most of the story was very overdone with insufferable characters.
15.04.2025 12:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Book banning is not an โinconvenienceโ. Itโs bigotry. Whether packaged as keeping kids safe from sexual content or removing politically charged material, the intention & practice of removing books from schools and libraries IS to directly undercut freedom.
