I like “Somewhere there’s a world where I make sense” and “my lover sees a world in me.” Need to try the duplex form some time

You gave it up for free, got left in the dust, and now post rage bait on X to supplement the inadequacy of your monthly child support payments.

I take it that Mitchell’s “Whoever has no house now will never have one” isn’t quite accurate, but I love it anyway. It’s mysterious and forceful, almost prophetic (and I love the weaving of “h” and “n” sounds)

You don’t like Stephen Mitchell? I don’t know German but I love his translation of “Autumn Day”

It seems that the people in my life who like Trump aren’t paying attention to what he says or does and the people who are paying attention hate him

Maybe this is why sycophantic AI fits so well into our rotten culture

You see it all over the place in little ways. Like in that video where Michael Knowles said Abuelas should be deported, he feels the need to remark on how far back he was a Trump fan. Fascist brain rot

The trickle-down sycophancy is so embarrassing

Christian theology is basically a competition to see who can center everything on Christ the most

Funny timing to become a universalist just as the worst people on earth are showing off their depravity

And that's a kind of impulse I have, you know? And I don't think it's necessarily right-wing. It can take that form, but it can take much more generous and, you know, kind of constructive, generative forms as well.
Well, I mean, the reason I'm always wanting to answer the questions about fiction and novels is that, like, I detest so much about our culture today. I detest it. I hate slop.
I despise Al. I hate most movies, big-budget movies. I think, actually, yes, our culture is depraved and it's getting shitty.
And so I do long for a previous era, and I'm desperate to hold on to certain precious things, which I'm very fearful of being lost by technological
advancement and commercialism and just, like, the temptations of smallness of mind and not thinking.

Suddenly remembering how my uncle, now deceased, told me about a time when he saw everything, even some shit on the sidewalk, lit up with the fire of God. I thought he was exaggerating a natural human feeling but now I see it was more than that

Praying to anyone other than God:
Direct your prayers to God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I googled the phrase “how not to pray” to check if Larry Levis was referencing anything when he used it in a poem and it’s weird how AI is not only Christian but specifically protestant

I like Robert Frost’s loose iambic, the extra unstressed syllables and such. An American development out of Wordsworth’s speech-like poetics. “The Silken Tent” is a great example where both form and content have to do with looseness and being bound (to a meter)
