My everlasting pet peeves: people using terms without defining them in tutorials/ documentation. You can't start digging into a complex subject, throw in things to digest, along with not knowing what you aree talking about. Too many tech tutorials do this. Tsk tsk tsk.

You are correct. I doubt it would popular now, as it was already not popular at all when I was a kid and it is not exactly the best dessert. I'd be real surprised if it made a come back! 😆

As a French Canadian, I feel like I *should* know this dessert, but I don't. I heard of it, I know of it, my mom knows it, has made it in the past, but it just wasn't a staple at my house. *shame*

Yesterday, while at my favorite café, the girl next to me had the juiciest notebook. I forced myself x times to stop staring at her creepily. She had a holy grail of notebooks. My kryptonite. I nearly asked the brand, but didn't for then I would be owning many more notebooks of (now 3) fav brands.

Loving that your voice exists in these troubled times. And, as a native French speaker, I appreciate you added a French caption for inclusiveness. Unity is what we (Canadians) need to protect and foster the most. Thank you. Fascism thrives on divisiveness.

And I would never call it Silicon Valley 2.0, because it could be governed by more liberal rules and not become the nearly lawless technocracy that original Silicon Valley has become. But rather, a version of a tech industry that works better for the people (not the few), that builds, not deplete.

So many brilliant minds left for the California gold and some dispersed further. Silicon Valley became what it is because it pulled brilliant minds, not because there is a greater than average incidence of brilliant minds around the Bay Area. Canada can do that, a handful of provinces at least.

It's been a really long time that I think that Canada needs to have its own strong tech hub (I won't be using the term to designate an area in Northern California because nobody needs to feel like the Great Value version of something). With the current political landscape, it's due more than ever.

Margaret Atwood and others have called on Canada to protect its sovereignty. But is Mark Carney’s minister listening? Canada must protect its digital borders.

Added: refining scary numbers! This animation of numbers swaying while idling, scaling up upon cursor proximity, locking scaled up status when clicked on, new ones gently appearing upon refining forced me to take a careful, paranoid(?) look at ev. render so we don't disrupt this ecosystem of numbers

My current position on the matter is "take some, leave some". It can hit the mark, but I have seen it get it awfully wrong so many times. So, it is like a suggestion? Some info for you to confirm elsewhere? 🤷‍♀️
