Iowa farmers are hurting because of this chaotic tariff policy that Ashley Hinson continues to support. She continues prove that she’ll put corporate greed and party leadership above Iowans at every turn. Our farmers deserve better.

Bitcoin hit a high of $126,000 last year. Then it dropped to $120K, $110K, $100K, $90K, $80K, $70K and is no hovering around $60K.

More than a trillion in notional "value" wiped out.

There is no Fed or Treasury ready to bail it out.

But Congress is close to blessing it...

A Nobel Peace Prize nomination for Minneapolis is really a recognition of people power and it’s the first time a whole city has been put forward for the prize.

Did Bovino have a speck of decency to apologize, at least just for what he said about Pretti? No.

Did JD Vance? No.

Did Stephen Miller? No.

Did Kristi Noem? No.

They simply lack basic human decency and have no business being in senior positions of the US government.

Following the killing of AFGE Member Alex Pretti and the subsequent slanderous rhetoric that followed from top Trump administration officials, AFGE National President Everett Kelley issued the following statement:

β€œYesterday, AFGE brought together labor and faith leaders from Minneapolis and across the nation to mourn our fallen brother from Local 3669, Alex Pretti. We honored his life and legacy and lifted up his family, his friends, his union, Minneapolis, and our nation in prayer.

β€œToday, we demand accountability.

β€œIn the immediate aftermath of Alex’s killing, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem betrayed the public trust by slandering the good name of our union brother and calling him a β€œdomestic terrorist.” Alex Pretti was a patriotic ICU nurse at a VA hospital who devoted his life to serving America’s veterans. That claim was reckless, defamatory, and unsupported by the facts. Noem was preceded in this false statement by Stephen Miller, Deputy White House Chief of Staff, who is also the architect of the chaotic and failed immigration policy in Minnesota.

β€œOur demand is clear: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who was responsible for carrying out the policy that led to Alex’s needless killing, and Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, the architect of that policy, must resign immediately. If they refuse, President Trump must dismiss them.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara: "People have had enough. This is the third shooting in less than 3 weeks. The MPD went the entire year last year recovering about 900 guns from the street, arresting hundreds of violent offenders, and we didn't shoot anyone ... this is not sustainable."

Dana Bash @cnn.com just gave a master class in holding murderous federal officials accountable during her grilling of Greg Bovino.

Build the case. Immunity and impunity won't stand the test of time. Eventually the rule of law will prevail.

Every day brings us closer to a new administration that will hopefully decide to make these murderous public officials account for their actions and bring them to justice.

Remember: impunity rarely stands up to the passage of time.

Trump’s Art of the Not-Quite-Deal The president has offered frameworks, pledges, handshakes and threats β€” a style that carries growing legal, economic and diplomatic risks.

Nice essay on Trump’s notion of what a β€œdeal” really is: a series of β€œpledges, frameworks .. shakedowns, memoranda of understanding, or otherwise opaque, informal, or incomplete arrangements” that allow him β€œto claim a quick victory and move on to the next thing.”
