Streaming feels like it's permanently locked in this infantile state of "It's good for me, but not for you", and it's because infrastructure in NA is still mostly dogshit. There's too many variables, and it makes services (like Sony's) incredibly unpredictable and mostly unusable.

It’s a shame that cloud streaming still isn’t very good. Sony’s service has a ton of IQ and input lag issues.

I think Fortnite, and most traditional MP focused shooters are too repetitive, with little variance from round to round.

I've tried a few times over the past year or 2 to get back into Fortnite, and I've bounced off every time, so thankfully no level of pop culture swag is going to pull me back in.
Especially thankful given that they're selling their soul to the poorly written terf wizard franchise.

All this means is that Switch owners bought the Switch 2. Which is sort of to be expected. I'm actually surprised the % isn't higher, given how many Switch consoles there are on the market.

After never killing Hades in the original, I managed to kill Chronos in a Hades 2 run tonight. Good game is good.

With Dispatch only available on PC and PS5, I'm curious if there's any chance it makes its way to other platforms (given the sales success).
I'm also not convinced I want to wait a year or whatever to maybe play on another platform, when the demo seemed to mostly be fine on my laptop.

More in a "I don't want to have to be nice to people who should know more than me about a given subject, but some how do not" kind of way.

It's never going to stop being frustrating that I'm having to teach ACTUAL technical resources how to do things... when I haven't really been working as a technical resource for most of the past decade.

I agree w/Sony losing their way, but they definitely had a fallback with universal 3rd party support.
Switch 2 is going to see very limited support because the hardware is sort of poop, and unless something changes, 3rd party stuff is performing pretty abysmally on the platform.

Nintendo remembered that Metroid Prime 4 exists.

I'm not convinced that 3rd parties are going to rush to port games to a platform where 3rd parties currently aren't selling. Think there's a lot riding on games like Requiem, when it comes to 3rd party support on the console.

DK isn't as big as Mario (not even close), and there's nothing that can replicate what BotW was at launch. Doesn't help that MK World is sort of mediocre.

Yr1 Switch also had Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade 2.

Sounds like Age of Imprisonment is a fine licensed Musou that shows a lot of people are sort of tiring of the BotW/TotK world.

I don't think this is criticism or cynicism.
It's more a statement that there is interest in dedicated console hardware... the hardware makers just need to get the units on shelves.

Switch 2 doesn't even have a particularly compelling year one line up compared to the original.

My 2 cents on the Switch 2 sales figures is that this could have been either the PS5 or the Series X, should they had been able to maintain the hardware supply Nintendo has.
Switch 2 is easier to buy that almost any piece of hardware in the past few console cycles.

I'm enjoying the game enough that I'd sort of like to keep it in a semi-regular rotation and "collect 'em all" while I wait for the DLC to come out.

As a very unserious pokemon player... should I be waiting until post game to work on filling out the Pokedex?
I never really bother, but Legends Z-A seems to have a pretty small list so it might be sorta doable.
