06.03.2025 19:54 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Broader point: some, but by no means all, traditional liberal dems donโt seem to have well-founded reasons for their beliefs. They have scripted arguments against republicans. This breaks down when, to me, youโre both right wing parties. One far right, one barely left of that.
05.03.2025 14:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You didnโt say โhelping disabled childrenโ until you decided to go nuclear. You said โearly intervention servicesโ No one outside your tiny bubble knows what that means. I asked you to explain yourself. Colorado could implement single payer (a fee not a tax) and help everyone. Keep missing the point
05.03.2025 13:49 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Another week another update
Last week felt pretty dreamy, with every effort being either fast or long. Smashed goal pace on a 7x400, got 3 miles at 10k pace, and enjoyed perfect conditions for an 8 mile โlong runโ
Going over 20 this next week
16.5 miles run and 1 lap (again)
Vermont understood the assignment.
Take notes, America.
Left the door wide open for you to have a real discussion. Even if you wanted an argument, dozens and dozens of obvious and better optionsโฆ wide openโฆ on purposeโฆ Must be tough. Some discourse.

Surely there are facts missing. Surely your take isnโt that selfish.
But it sounds like a subsidy for the few was redirected to the needs of the many. The system worked.

There is no such obligation to give others positive experiences. All life entails some degree of suffering (the Buddha was born a prince). It is wrong to bring life into the world.

Cut the fake concern
27.02.2025 15:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0If life has always been a struggle for most, why the concern about civilization ending? Talk about dissonance.
27.02.2025 15:09 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0We should take care of the people that are here and give them the best chance of success. They didnโt ask for it. What about โstrugglingโ and signing a kid up for the same seems remotely acceptable?
27.02.2025 15:05 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0(5/5) You can disagree, thatโs fine, maybe we look at other line items. The point is TABOR helps keep the state affordable, forces us to prioritize what matters, and, with better leadership, opens the door to innovative win-win solutions to challenges that arenโt the tired โthrow more money at themโ
27.02.2025 14:11 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0(4/5) Iโm very satisfied with the services my community provides in spite of the outsized spending in this one category. If more resources are needed to provide more or better-quality services, particularly in light of the inevitable demographic cliff, K-12 is obviously the first place to look.
27.02.2025 14:11 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0(3/5) Instead they represent the cost to subsidize full-time daycare for the ever dwindling minority of people who make the wildly unethical choice to force a kid into a dying world. Beyond my antinatalism, This is a veiled transfer of wealth to the employers that benefit from this arrangement.
27.02.2025 14:11 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1(2/5) ~50% of my property taxes go to K-12. Itโs the 2nd largest item at the state level.
Kids deserve a high-quality education, and we all benefit. But, I donโt believe resources we currently devote to K-12 are representative of the real cost of effectively providing a top-notch education.
๐งต(1/5) Discourse incoming. I say all this as someone who would never in a million years vote Republicanโmy unfiltered feelings toward them would get me bannedโbut who consistently votes and advocates against TABOR repeal and any/all end runs around it.
27.02.2025 14:10 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Radical leftist chiming in. I think TABOR is great. Itโs one of the few things keeping the state even remotely affordable for working class people. K-12 enrollments will keep plummeting, so thatโs a short term issue. Defund the police and thereโs plenty of budget for things that matter.

Week 4/36 of structured training done.
This week I really felt the benefits of speed work, feeling much more comfortable at higher intensities, with more muscle soreness than tendon. Going forward, definitely need to balance things with more easy running.

I also have 2 rescue dogs, itโs probably my #1 concern in planning my own exit, but at the end of the day they are dogs, and I canโt compromise my safety and health for them. I am not close to my bio family and, frankly, Iโm better off without them in my life. My chosen family should/would leave /4
