All opinions my own, west Belfast resident, middle-aged, middle class, worried by the alarming lack of action on the global environmental polycrisis that will destroy my kid’s future.

FDR quote from @georgemonbiot.bsky.social & @peterhutchison.bsky.social’s

The Invisible Doctrine

“the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism.”

Can people stop playing Reform's game by referring to his team as a shadow cabinet? For it to be a shadow cabinet, Reform would need to be the largest opposition party. They only have eight MPs. Stop entertaining their nonsense.

As Nigel Farage makes Robert Jenrick his Shadow Chancellor, here's a quick reminder of the sort of man Reform wants to put in charge of the nation's finances

Does Farage realise he can't have a "shadow" cabinet as he is not the opposition. Hhalf of his MPs were not even elected as Reform MPs! Why are the media buying into this utter bullshit??

National Action Days - Green Party Now is the time to get involved and get Greens elected. See below for action days across the country and sign up now to be part of a winning team.

When I ran for leader, I said we're going to make the Labour Government more worried about losing seats to the Green Party - than to Reform.

We're making this happen in Gorton & Denton. This is about our country.

Volunteer in the next 9 days!

Environment: Green heating grants 'available next year' in NI Stormont's economy department has been consulting on options for NI and says it now plans to bring forward a firm proposal this year.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... I would say “finally” but the fact that it’s contingent on passing legislation which could take a year begs the question: Why does it take 1 year to make a law that is essentially a ‘copy/paste’ from other jurisdictions within the UK?! Answers please to this please!🙏

This is exactly what worries me, there is a hardcore of older, Labour voters who through blind loyalty will allow Reform to win out against the GP. It’s the same for Tories too of course. Starmer needs to bring in PR before it’s too late ⏰.

British Museum removes ‘Palestine’ from ancient Middle East displays British Museum Palestine Middle East displays

Link to news story: Source: London Evening Standard share.google/whjZUbCRPrG8... This is pure re-writing of history, trying to crush the Palestinian identity by erasing it from history. It’s pathetic, and it won’t work. The British Museum should be ashamed of itself, and not for the first time.

No not at all, Muslim people will no more be a negative influence than the many numbers of Catholic Irish & Jewish people who migrated into the north of England during the Industrial Revolution and whose descendants regard themselves as British today. Assimilation requires time & decency.

Totally agree, Labour have the opportunity now to bring in electoral reform so the next election is a fair one. They would probably even benefit from it by stealing this policy from Greens, Lib Dems and others.

Potato Market Report 11th February - Irish Farmers' Association Retail and home consumption levels are typical for this time of year. Markets for the food service sector and peeling potatoes remain challenging. There has been no progress in terms of early planting...

To underline the point:

“There has been no progress in terms of early plantings in the south-east because of recent weather conditions. Prolonged wet soil and unsettled conditions have halted all field work.”
