We are calling for an urgent meeting between the ICB, CUH, ARH and local authorities to address the future of the beds at ARH.

This is a clear indication of how deeply this affects our community. We must protect these beds and the vital care they provide. We’ve now written to Wes Streeting to formally call for urgent action to protect Arthur Rank’s funding.

Along with Cambridgeshire's two other Liberal Democrat MPs, Charlotte Cane MP and Ian Sollom MP, I launched a petition urging the Secretary of State to intervene. In just 24 hours, over 4,000 people signed. The support has been extraordinary.

🧵 Yesterday, we learned that the brilliant Arthur Rank Hospice in South Cambridgeshire is facing a crisis due to a £829,000 funding cut. The reduction would close 9 of the 23 palliative care beds, representing a massive 40% decrease in capacity.
