Concept art for a creature called Veyoquerel. The creature has a large, armoured build, with four powerful legs and long, blue tendrils that extend from its head and tail. The image showcases the creature's ability to manipulate a radioactive substance to its will, and how it uses this substance to protect itself when weakened. The image also describes how little is known about this creature, as it only emerged after the fall of an ancient city.

For this one I wanted another design with "final boss vibes" and had a vague concept from the beginning. The design came from a dream I once had, where this thing's cocoon was sitting on a beach, it broke out, and all hell broke loose.

The image showcases a manta ray inspired creature called Mahastrape. Its main colour is a pale grey, and it has a black underbelly, as well as pale blue accents and pale red blood veins. It uses magnetism to float in midair, with smaller creatures latching to the bottom of it to eat parasites off of the stomach and wings.

For this one I wanted to do another unconventional creature shape, and quickly had the idea to do a land manta ray. I was flip-flopping between having it float via air gusts or magnetism, and in the end I think magnetism was the right choice.

The image showcases a snail-like creature named Ardequa. Its shell is covered in sulfur dust, and has several vents, from which steam can escape. The creature's head has four mandibles, which it can use to fire a sticky mucus, which explodes on contact with water.

For this design I wanted to make a unconventional water-based design, with it creating steam vents and explosions. Given the volcanic region it inhabits, I settled on a sulfur theme. The snail idea came from me wanting to use a more uncommon creature body type.

TRANS RIGHTS 🏳️‍⚧️

The image showcases a flying snake-like creature named Goyleryx. The creature has black scales, and a grey underbelly. Glowing, orange stripes go the length of its body, which ends in a sharp, serrated spike. The head features two large, serrated fangs, as well as spikes, which resemble a mohawk. The wings feature flame-like patterns, which light up when the creature is enraged.

This creature is another inhabiting my volcanic region, and the setting's final Amphiptere for now. This one is based heavily around gargoyle imagery, with fire element being the perfect fit. Somehow, the weird ideas I had for this one came together in the end.

A concept for a creature called Gallaharus. It is a large, Spinosaurus-inspired creature, which can swim through lava and use liquid metal as a weapon. Its body is a cool grey with the occasional stripes and blue spots. It also has large, blue membranes over its body, ideal for swimming. Its back, much like a Spinosaurus, has a large sail.

This is the first design I made for my setting's volcanic region. Knowing that I'd make other creatures using fire and water elements, for this one I went with earth, and more specifically, liquid metal. Of my current designs I view this one as a "main character".

Its legs are partially covered in bristly, black fur, and it has an orange sac on its neck, which it uses to expel flames

The older design of the creature in the other image. It is notably less detailed than the new version, and sports a different pattern.

This one is another redesign of an older concept. My skill level at the time wasn't at a point where I could execute my vision properly. This version works much better, and gained a more bestial appearance than before, which fits its personality well.

For my first piece of 2025, I decided to revisit this design in the form of a full painting! The space-themed background came together better than expected, with me making minimal changed from the image I exported from Blender.

After I had the reworked design for Teuminwis done, I knew I wanted to create a rival monster of some kind, and began to brainstorm some ideas. Eventually, I landed on a wolf with earth-based abilities and a paladin aesthetic. #creaturedesign

Make art that you think is fuckin sick as hell. Make the shit you never thought you could that you always wanted to see. Beat your insecurity to death and fight to become your own favorite artist.

Just be prepared. We've all seen that headline going around today that Bluesky is the current #1 app, and X dropped out of the top 25.

That means the absolute worst people in the world are going to be coming here trying to turn THIS place into just as much of a shithole. Block them. Don't engage.

I like drawing creatures of all kinds, and especially designing/painting my own!

I wanted to mess around with the idea of "fighter jet/rocket but dragon" for a little while now, and I finally got around to making it! Throw in some shooting star theming and I think the design stands out nicely. Very happy with this one.

For this one I wanted a creature that would stick the bones of its prey onto its own body. At first that idea was based around tar, but I found tree sap and amber to give a more interesting and unique aesthetic.
