An adult male Cape May Warbler on the branch of a Tipu tree. Its face and breast are bright yellow with heavy black streaks on the breast and flanks and some rufous streaking in the throat. Its single bold white wingbar is a distinctive feature. The bill is fine-tipped and slightly decurved.
