Ooh, I love the sound of that! What you've already done is wonderful. But I'll still be disappointed if it doesn't happen.
Me too, although my dvd is frustratingly messed up in the middle; every time I watch it the movie dies along with her husband.

Definitely worth the suffocating heat. And you definitely need to finish this. (Double Indemnity?)

โ€˜...streaking the darkness radiantly!โ€™
โ€” from โ€˜Mutabilityโ€™ by Percy Bysshe Shelley

I wish I could write
something beautiful
that drifts one along
dreamlike
a haunting song
that breathes life
into inner eyes
grants the heart
a perfect sigh
of ache or contentment
enriched
eyes dazzled as if
with starlight bewitched
as of dappled light
beneath Beech trees
storm-soaked skies
tempestuous seas
the poesy of moonlight
drifting Autumn leaves
of twilightโ€™s fall
the scent of a breeze
the dark music of
the flowing stream
of rumble and murmur
an enchanting daydream
something soul-shifting
not out of immodesty
because I wish to gift
others the chance to see
to feel such gentle repose
and exquisite beauty
as Kenneth Grahame
Mary and Percy Shelley
Lord Byron and Oscar Wilde
have gifted me.

Always.
gentle thoughts for you
ever honest
born of love
and hope
and truth
ever wishing upon a star
for a glimmer
of something beautiful
to reach and fill
your weary heart.

This entire year... and maybe shoot it in the head for good measure. I hope next week will be better for you. x

She's awesome, and this is definitely your look.

I guess if you want to dress like that every day, you'd have to make your own clothes. Which is why I knit... and still dress like a bum. That guy is sartorially awesome. I tip my top hat to him.

Agreed!

You're such a bastard! I love it.

If only more people were this immaculately dressed! I'd like the number of this dapper wolf's tailor.

I'm retired/disabled and spent much of my adolescence repeatedly rewinding and rewatching the same VHS until someone could change it for me. My list will always be long, my books and dvds always within reach!

20.11.2025 05:50 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I can reliably confirm that I have no idea what I'm talking about.

20.11.2025 05:46 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

It must be a mile long by now. Luckily, I have nothing better to do!

20.11.2025 05:16 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Well that's alright then. A lot of films could be improved by a gigantic wolf. Probably. I'll have to add them to my ridiculously long list. I'm glad they were not shitty after all! I'm watching Night of the Hunter next, A Very Long Engagement and then maybe The Boston Strangler (never seen it).

20.11.2025 04:25 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Good! Were there 19th century zombies? No doubt this 'Billy Burke' person did a fine job but it's hard to beat an undead witch. Mary William Ethelbert Appleton Burke. Sounds like a good name for a cat. @wsstamey.bsky.social if you ever need a name for a cat... Yeah, I've not had any sleep.

20.11.2025 04:09 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Ooh, I've not seen them. I looked Red Riding Hood up on IMDB and thought 'Glinda from the Wizard of Oz is still alive!?' Right. Billy Burke, not Billie Burke. But her father was Billy Burke too, so now I'm suspicious. Enjoy the vampires and the potential zombie red riding hood movie!

20.11.2025 03:43 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Ha! You're clubbing me to death with your witty persiflage (I had no idea such a word existed, I need to use it more often).

20.11.2025 03:13 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yay! Which shitty movies?

20.11.2025 03:06 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

My favourite too! And I don't care who knows!

20.11.2025 03:04 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Absolutely. But the latte would still be a blessing. Well, I'm good at incontinently sandblasting this place with my logic. And then trying to delete it before anyone reads it. You're welcome.

20.11.2025 00:30 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Well, the argument's based on logic. The answer isn't. I was genuinely considering that plus debilitating injury just to forage for a pinecone. Still am. Despite lactose intolerance and not being a coffee drinker, I think a latte makes it doubly worthwhile. You can't fault my logic, there isn't any.

I'm a puddle! Both in depth and because your kind words have melted me. You're incredibly sweet. I appreciate your humour, thoughtfulness, beautiful poetry, your every word more than I can say. That you took the time to make this post says a lot. You deserve all this love and more in return. x

Definitely worth the lactose fallout. Possibly not worth the potential interrogation and deportation to a random country not of my choosing because I sign too many petitions. But worth considering.

19.11.2025 22:45 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0
