Realizing this and fixing it is the first step to making lasting friendships. And realizing that there's a HUGE difference between saying "Hey man, I'm not doing great right now, I need some space" and saying absolutely nothing, leaving someone wondering what happened.

Absolutely real! Some people are just not good at being friends! I lost a lot of former friends this way from "drifting apart" (which was mostly, unfortunately me just not initiating conversations ever, and them having to do all the work).

also can we talk about how "we tried" to get the "people that live in the inner city" to do the farm work? I feel like there was a name for that. does anyone remember the name for that?
