Yup, I’ve enjoyed some of them. But c’mon, let’s be honest.

It drives me absolutely bananas that people call this software “AI”. It isn’t. But it’s a sexy term and marketing people love it.

I’m a computer scientist. It’s not “AI”, Francis; it’s not sentient. It’s also not fully baked, & is being forced on people rather than asking them for adoption.

It’s a search engine + LLMs + some software to tweak the output. It suffers from severe GIGO.

Absolutely. The gerontocracy wants to maintain their grip on power and their cozy relationship with corporate donors. People like AOC or Mamdani scare the daylights out of them. And as we saw with Pelosi keeping AOC out of that chairmanship, they will work hard to keep progressives from power.

What genuinely scares you people are people like Mamdani or Bernie or AOC who might pry the party from the death-grip of corporate donors and the “leadership” gerontocracy. That might put an entire industry of political consultants out of work. It’s nothing to do with policies.
