Has anyone ever done a study on the percentage of actors who are left-handed? Because it definitely seems like there are a lot.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this whole “litmus test” complaint some “moderate” Dems have. And I’ve decided it’s absolute BS. It’s having morals, convictions, & the courage to fight for them. To fight for taxes on billionaires; better healthcare; living wages; the f**king planet.

The problem is, we’ve been having five-alarm fires since 1/20/2025. I can only do so much firefighting.

Someone posted this and I think we should talk this up and see if they’d consider it.

WordPress wants us to pay *extra* for something that, AFAIK, no one has asked for. The audacity just triggered me.

My theory has long been that the walloping they got in 1984 basically traumatized Boomer and Silent Dems, and it is only now, as the old guard is being pushed out (against their will) that the tactics they adopted that seemed smart then—NeoLib politics, basically—are shown to be self-destructive.

Books keep disappearing from my Apple Books library. I know I’ve purchased them, because I religiously save the email receipts and yup, there it is. But it’s not in my library, and the version I purchased has vanished from their store.

Anyone else have this issue?

I don’t know about other folks, but as a tech writer it takes me longer to craft an “AI” query just right and then rewrite the results so they actually make sense and fit into a document as it does for me to just write the stuff from scratch.

Doesn’t seem worth it to boil lakes for that.

I find it interesting that there are people who I have only ever met in dreams come back on occasion. They’re not celebrities, or sports figures, or whatever; just folks who I know in my dreams who don’t appear to actually, ya know, exist.

And I haven’t been able to get it to work. That doesn’t mean you’re not right; it just means I haven’t wanted to spend more than 10 minutes on something that should be intuitive. And I agree with the redesign; it’s terrible.

Wikipedia’s authoring tool hasn’t changed much since 2013 and it seems to work just fine. Why companies seem to insist on reinventing the wheel is beyond me. (Okay, I know the answer: Money.)

It wouldn’t be quite so bad if these tools would *let me* code HTML by hand, but many of them don’t or make it very very hard.

Heck, I’ve given up trying to figure out how to do blockquotes in Wordpress since they deprecated the old interface. I’m sure it can be done, I just can’t suss it out.
