In East Slavic folklore, a hare is addressed as "Father Hare" and associated with the sun and the world of the dead.

It is said, hares are bound to the Forest Lord (in later folk-tales — to the Devil) and sprits of the woods.

Finally watched ‘Satan Wants You’ today, a documentary about ‘Michelle Remembers’ and the origin of the Satanic Panic. Mind-blowing, brilliantly crafted, and fascinating to see so many academics featured whose work I’ve spent the last few months immersed in. Already can’t wait to watch it again.
