I couldn't picture how Death Howl, a soulslike deckbuilder, could possibly marry the two genres—until I played its Steam Next Fest demo Then my face got smashed, now I'm a believer.

It's kind of funny – we didn't realise at first that we were actually merging these two genres! We aimed for an open-world deck builder, but our focus testers actually pointed out the #SoulsLike elements!
