Here's a look at the big overnight coding marathon with the Portland Indie Game Squad. We got started on our projects last week, but about 40 of us got together yesterday for a two day long superjam that ends tonight. Very tired, but got alot done.

To save space in the final file, I have multiple puzzles in the same room. Each puzzle starts out as a full 8x10 grid of cubes, but is "whittled down" during the game design phase. When loading, all puzzles are deleted except the one used.

Cubic Conundrum- Dev Log 14
Prism Cubes each have to be "charged" up to max before they can be captured. They get charged by capturing other Cubes. If you try to capture them before fully charging, you will simply pass right over without capturing it.

Shifter Cubes have a 2nd position (marked with the empty green square) that it will slide over to whenever the Crystal Cubes are triggered. This creates a puzzle map that will literally change itself every time a crystal is captured

Flame Cubes are impassable barriers that can't be captured unless they are deactivated. Capture a Crystal Cube to trigger every Flame Cube on the board. The trick: some Flame cubes start deactivated, others start activated.

Bomb Cubes destroys every cube next to it, but not always to your benefit. Sometimes you may find yourself being cut off from advancement. This one was a big challenge because of planning on how it would interact with other cubes.

Vortex Cubes function similarly to Wormholes, but without the predictability of a paired exit. Instead you are teleported randomly. After testing, I decided I cant use these in the main puzzle mode. The chaos is impossible to plan for.

Regrowth Cubes: When you step on one of these mystical cubes of life and rebirth, the last 4 cubes you deleted are restored through powerful druid magic, or fairy dust, or something... I don't know. This game has no plot; it's a puzzle game.
