The issue with people like Schumer and Carville is that they refuse to accept that politics is not the same as it was 20 years ago.

Schumer’s decision is an unconscionable surrender that shows he does not have what it takes to meet this moment, and the charade he pulled yesterday makes it even worse. Time for new leadership in the Democratic Party.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

I am tired of “leaders” who are scared of their own shadows.

All but one house Democrat voted against a government funding bill that empowers authoritarianism. If Chuck Schumer can’t bring himself to join them, he is not fit to lead.
