I don’t know anything about rocks but with the help of people who do know things about rocks I lugged pretrified teredo wood, carbonized wood, and a ton of worm fossils for hours. And that clam.

Vent drawing of my oc knight who is an arctic wolf/yote mix walking in a profile view, looking straight ahead. A glowing spear is piercing his shoulder into his chest as he *very* slowly bleeds and walks uncomfortably. There’s three glowing tear shapes falling from his very light yellow blue eye but his face is blank. His coat is mostly an off white light cream with pops of yellow-y orange and brown markings on his upper back/shoulder, tail, and ears. He has a brown dorsal stripe from the top of his head that goes down to the base of his tail.

As someone who lives in a rural area and works for one of the poorest people in the county, I enter a blind rage anytime someone makes a comment about “[red area] deserves to have services cut for voting that way”. Someone has to make it better for the people who can’t advocate for themselves.

It’s always funny to me how Seattle people view Spokane as a terrible place for being too red and meanwhile people in Idaho consider it to be way too blue. It’s all relative.

My old boss would always say that they put a dime in a gumball machine and think they’ll get a diamond.

Alternatively you have nonprofits where the people who are responsible for getting rich people to donate money make $150k and everyone else makes minimum wage

Why is every tech job either vague buzzwords that needs 10 years of experience with no listed salary or a job where you use AI to decide which orphans could starve a little bit more for $130k/year

Reading the article, looks like they're still going to try to make the language work juuust right in order to fit a land sell off proposal into the budget bill, but it is deeply unpopular on both sides of the aisle. Call your reps, this isn't over, but they're hearing about it loudly. Keep calling.
