I'm aiming for trans joy with this one, and trying to keep it light, so probably not going to do anything too damaging to her. But I'm also flying by the seat of my pants here, so I can't say for certain that it will all work out.

Is it wrong that I just feel...toppy... towards her? Like, I'm just reveling in the opportunity to put her through the eggpocalypse!

But, if you're a...." again she hesitated. "...transgender woman..." I supplied helpfully. "...transgender woman," she repeated, "then I absolutely can't take your sword!" Oh I'll bet you can, actually, an impish voice in my head whispered, but I savagely quashed it. Not the time, Kitty! "Whyever not?" I asked, trying to sound far more innocent than I felt in that moment.

I've reached the point with the writing of Kitty where I'm just cackling aloud as I go! She's so much fun to write!

Putting the finishing touches on the score for Episode 1 of Étude of the Storm. I'm so excited for y'all to hear it! I think it's some of my best work, at least in *this* genre! Digging into orchestral scoring has been extremely fun & has really given me a chance to put the studio through its paces!

Gods, this hits hard! Every time I cross the border into Indiana I can feel the axe start to come down. I'm so grateful for all other trans girls who are out and visible at GenCon! The convention center feels like a bubble of community in a very hostile environment!

Transphobia is infuriating AND self-defeating. If you're AFAB, you're going to go through menopause...HRT has been a lifesaver for me. It may even stave off dementia!

If HRT is banned for trans folks, think it'll be easy for us cis folk to access it?

It could be... maybe a gray rat snake? From what I could tell it has smooth scales instead of the keeled scales that Rat Snakes have, and its head is pretty narrow. But I'm honestly not certain.

Home from our adventures, only to be greeted by this gorgeous creature, standing guard over our extra house key! I'm 90% certain it's a Prairie King Snake, which are common to central Illinois, and quite docile. The kiddo and I are in the "Can we keep it?" faction, but Karen has vetoed this idea!😅🐍

I was REALLY happy with how my low-key elf costume came together! I just kinda grabbed some things from my closet that I thought could work together, added elf ears, and... just became this far version of myself that I've always wanted to embody! New gender euphoria UNLOCKED!

Heading home after an incredibly fun time at GenCon with the @omniverse.bsky.social crew! I made some new friends, built some card towers, played a bunch of great games, and even got to perform some of my speculative poetry at an open mic! And I got to do cosplay for the first time in ages!

I already know that I've had a successful GenCon because it's almost 5am and I'm still picking spirit gum out of my ears and hair from the elf ear prosthetics...

This is utterly adorable and I can’t wait to see where the story leads!

I've been really inspired by the awesomeness of folks like @magicariot.com, @autumnwolff.bsky.social, & most recently @tpwrtrmnky.bsky.social and @taliabhatt.itch.io! It's inspired me to put more of this kind of trans joy into the world, so here's me throwing my brand of silliness into the mix!

The Egg Prime Directive: Kitty is convinced that every bearded nerd with long hair and a kilt shopping at her foam weapons booth is actually a closeted trans girl. Her friend and business partner, Megan, is...unconvinced. Poor Kyle is just looking for a nice replica weapon, not a whole new gender! Sometimes a sword is just a sword, but when the sword is the fabled Stormbringer of Kitty and Kyle's favorite magical girl anime it becomes an opportunity for the impulsive prop maker to prove her theory, and change all of their lives forever.

I've posted the 1st chapter of the most trashy, light, feel-good, trans story I've ever written! I'm having so much fun with this one! Currently three chapters deep, & not slowing down!

I'm calling it The Egg Prime Directive!
