I've been trying to articulate why the fawning, complimentary responses from AI chatbots feel so insidious to me. I've finally figured out how to explain it.

I've built a script to get the day's info from our family Google Calendar, and next is testing, setting up cron jobs, and getting feedback from my son, who is probably never going to look at it, but I've had fun making it!

The e-ink screen is a @pimoroni.com 7.3" Inky Impression display, and it's being powered by a #raspberrypi Zero 2 W.

The toughest part by far was learning Pillow to build the UI. I was considering just using HTML, CSS, and JS, but sticking to Python for everything just makes sense.

Your code looks correct! I was struggling with this and ended up using ngrok to enable https locally.

Another thought though, try changing 'localhost' to '127.0.0.1' to bypass the DNS.
