This. For example #OttCity is debating spending half a billion on sports ball and another half billion or more on a new suburb with no services in the middle of nowhere; we have hundreds of millions for roads, but have people dying on our streets do a lack of a place to live.

Sad that our leaders can shovel out a half billion dollars for OSEG but can't be bothered building a decent city

On July 31, a @tps.ca officer opened his door into traffic & struck a person on a bike near King & Shaw. Our client sustained a serious wrist fracture as a result.

The officer has not been charged & an ambulance was not called to the scene 1/2

I gave up 2019 after infuriating ghost buses & broken trains. I was stuck at Hurdman one day, walked home & decided never again. I started biking the next day and haven't looked back. I may use transit once a month but try to avoid it

I'm often surprised by this. Even as a middle class kid in the 80s we had one car (used), one TV, 3 window ACs. No fancy vacations all the time, no cottage. People's expectations of a "middle class" lifestyle are very different from what they used to be.

What infuriates me is that these rebuilds are a once in a lifetime thing. The city often gets it wrong and then we're stuck with their failure for 50-80 years

I lived down the street over on Hinchey for a long time. This whole complex always seems very sketchy even back then.

Also why aren't there any trees on the grassy areas next to the bike lanes? I suspect it's so drivers views aren't obstructed but it's stupid, especially with no hydro lines above

Ottawa often implements inadequate solutions to transport issues, opting for cheaper, less effective options. A great airport service was totally possible. People need to ask themselves why we keep re-electing leaders who fail us
