‘If you tax the rich they will all leave the country’ say, eh, rich people.
Just tax them already. Wealth comes from exploiting the labour of the economically vulnerable. Wealth is essentially abuse. We’re better off without.

Neko Case or Aimee Mann would be my favourites. Both flawless wordsmiths, both poets to the core

It seems to have worked pretty well for white South Africans.

Look at you being all sensible. But also no, I’m too clumsy and would knock it over constantly

Briefly considered this recently but had to backtrack when I realised none of the ones I could find would work on my induction hob.

Is this because they don’t want to use ‘comrades’ for fear they might be taken for socialists?

The Trump / Blair plan is a return to the paternalistic colonialism that gave us the Balfour declaration and will, in time, come to be seen as just as clumsy and destructive. The idea that only a white anglocentric elite can govern Palestine is as abhorrent as it is risible.

So Blair and Kushner’s solution to a colonial occupied is . . . a colonial occupation?

I had an old Peavey standard with a spring reverb at one point and if the stage was at all bouncy it was like having an extra band member that was really really into shoegaze

Me neither. There was extensive discussion of fluke and liver fluke when I did O level geography but hoose seemed to be in the parasite equivalent of Fight Club.

Have you read Padraigín Ní Uallachain’s Hidden Ulster book? The central thesis is that Oriel, which includes modern day Louth, formed part of the province of Ulster.

I’m always bewildered by the amount of switches on a jazzmaster although I love that slightly fuzzy diffuse sound that you can get from them if you know what you’re doing
