Don’t get hung up on the specific time/age. I really just mean “When you explain the Good News about Jesus as simply as you can, what comes through? What do you emphasize? What’s the original goodness? What’s the problem? What’s the solution? ⚓️

Whoops, I enjoyed that piece and forgot to associate it with your handle! In my failed attempt at a PhD, I spent quite a bit of time with Bonhoeffer’s writings and still really resonate with his frustrations with the church’s failures.

Yes, even the “Confessing Church” was ultimately a disappointment. Left Bonhoeffer quite disillusioned.
