Add Hare's Foot Clover to the list of plants that grow wild in abundance in a lot of the US, and have medicinal properties most people seemingly don't know about. Maybe because it is an invasive species that hasn't made its way across the country yet.

Can't wait to (re-)read old Metroland issues

It's pretty common and useful. It likes to live in lower wetter areas like roadside ditches. I would even find it on the desert in washes or by drainpipes.

My advice to those who will have reduced access to medical care during societal collapse is to locate/grow/learn how to use deadnettle & peppermint to heal/improve multi-systemic conditions, and get really knowledgeable about current first aid techniques. We can't count on the medical establishment.
