Taking in the ice sculptures downtown last night for the last weekend of Winterlude. It was a lot milder than one week ago.

Big changes are coming as frigid arctic air has us in its sights. First we get some snow. Flurries around today then blowing snow with a risk of snow squalls overnight. 5-10cm. High -6°. Low -18°. W/c -27. ⛅️Sat. & -15°. Risk of frostbite.

Spotted this snow family last night. There’s NO chance they will be melting anytime soon. 81.4cm of snow so far this month (nearly 20cm since Sunday alone), but that stormy pattern will now turn quiet for awhile. It’s -20° now. W/c -28. Intervals of ☀️ & ☁️ & -10° today. 30% chance of a flurry.
