Are there any Law and Order SVU fans on here? I'm gonna dabble in that next and watch the first few seasons.

In the last few years there's been a movement to basically dismiss most of these crime shows as "copoganda". I don't know if these newer audiences quite grasp that not of all these shows consistently make cops look clean.

In fact, alot of them show you they are as bad as the criminals.

It's weird that I didn't even begin at the first season with OG Law and Order. I just started on Season 4 (Kincaid's first season).

This is the most TV I've watched in awhile and all of it was before 4k, 1080p, 720p, HD, Super HD, and so on.

"American Dream" is one of my favorite episodes of the OG Law and Order. Showcases Kincaid and Stone fusing together as one unit in the effort to save Ben's career from Phillip Swann. Lots of tense scenes here too.

I like how Claire Kincaid started to challenge Ben Stone during her only season with him. I don't think Robinette always got the chance to and I heard he wasn't comfortable during his time on the show either.

After reading further, Chris Noth felt he didn't get enough character moments as Mike Logan on Law and Order. Seems like he wanted more Hill Street Blues than what he ended up with.

Briscoe and Logan were the best combo. Sad Chris Noths ego got him fired (although his exit seems confusing)

Doing nothing doesn't work, but doing too much can have the opposite effect. These people dont mind fighting raw, us doing the same thing won't stop them because they've been doing it for forever and a day.

Early Law and Order had a rawness to it - some of which wouldn't be done today. It also had a much more unsteady filming style to fit more of a documentary (feels a bit more polished in the new age).
