I wish the world was continuing into where we live under int’l law and countries respect each other’s sovereignty, but that was largely backstopped by the strongest power (US) supporting it. I fear we’re drifting back to β€œthe strong take what they can and the weak suffer what they must.”

I don’t just mean military, but economic and energy. The need to stop relying on Russian pipelines. On the military side, there’s a need for an EU-centric movement away from US-centric NATO. Russia is very depleted from their failure in Ukraine.

Everything about that is the wrong analogy. The US is so much stronger than the rest of the world and the EU needs US help to counter Russia. The EU should be focused on self reliance and developing global non-US partnerships.

Meanwhile, Waymo has an accident every 1.25 million miles; nearly all of which are human drivers running into Waymos.

I was just looking at this one and remembered I hadn’t seen what Guy thought about jobs. Came over here to find it.

Also, that 5 Gm has a small effect on surface temperature that is greatly overcome by angle of incidence to create seasons. The Earth is closest to the sun in January making northern winters slightly more mild than southern.

They’ve redefined β€œcelebrating” to include anyone who didn’t like him when he was alive and doesn’t now lionize him because of the terrible way he died.

I saw one post comparing him to MLK & JFK.

There can’t be inflation because of the recession. There can’t be a recession because of rate cuts. There can’t be rate cuts because of inflation.

Bluesky is not the electorate. It’s better for his electability in the general for him not to be particularly loved here.

My initial post wasn’t so much about the future of AI in quality & benevolence. It was about taking the OP perspective and reversing it. I like to turn a thing over in my head because it often leads to better understanding. Here it’s like how we view Civil War medicine.

McLaren
Ferrari

They never saved any money. They just illegally shut down programs/orgs enacted by Congress. Waste, fraud, and abuse were purely lip-service to try to justify it.
