The problem with an "every man" candidate is that they reflect the values of "every man" and some of those are very very shitty.

This is behind a paywall so I can’t read much of it. If refs let the game get too physical without handing out yellows it will get more physical until a fight does break out. This isn’t an isolated incident and it’ll only get worse.

😆 Just got a text from my sister, her husband heard about the punch from a coworker. And apparently the guy that got punched is a “shithead”.

Refs didn’t stop it, I think they gave this other kid a couple warnings but no card. Well that didn’t stop it or calm it. And husband and I almost got into it with parents.

After multiple elbows to the back/head, and grab & shoves during tonight’s high school soccer game and NO CARDS. My kid had enough and went for a player. My kid got a red. But you know what? Good for him!

My office uses Autodesk Construction Cloud, it’s been a rough Monday.
I can pull things from the cloud, even save to it, but I can’t use a cloud model (one that lives in the cloud). It’s all so frustrating.

It’s WINDY. There’s a foam hatch in my office that goes to the attic, when it’s really windy it’ll move around a bit. It just lifted 3” and dropped back down. It jumped me!

How embarrassing.
Getting yourself kicked out of a fall ball baseball game. It’s fall ball! This is very low stakes, like lower than low, it’s more about learning & trying new positions.

I miss my ford ranger, perfect size, I could see clearly out of it and I could see an average size adult and most kids over my front bumper.
With today’s trucks you’re lucky if you can see an adult walk in front of you.

Glad I saw this at the time it happened because if I’d seen it first thing in the morning I’d have been very worried.
Last night after C’s soccer game @chaddah.bsky.social & I pulled the laundry from the line. The bird camera caught him walking through the patio looking like a creeper.

I can tell we’re getting close to a time change. Everyone in my house is STRUGGLING to get up. We’ve always loved the “fall back” in our house, it gets us all back on track.
We’re still a month away so October is going to be rough.

We were talking about student athletes being awful on the field, and seeing parents of those athletes booing ball boys.

So nice when the big kid gets home from soccer practice, grabs his plate of dinner from the fridge and does a happy little “oooh”
I made Meghan’s pasta (with fresh from my garden tomatoes!) and Chad made garden herb grilled chicken.
Part of why he was excited is that I cut up his chicken. 😆

I don’t care if it appears to always be empty, who does that? There is plenty of space on the side of the street for people to park, in fact one side almost always has cars parked against the curb.
Yes I could call PD or even a tow but I won’t, this time. Unless it’s still there tonight.

We have an extra driveway, it’s narrow, it’s not often used. Sometimes my mom parks there when she’s going somewhere my neighbor, she always asks. She doesn’t need to.
Boys notice a black suv parked there. Umm WTF? I went out and put a note under the wiper “private driveway no parking”

The first week and the last week of summer vacation seem to be the worst for my kids. They pester each other about every little thing, ask each other the same question over and over then get mad when they don’t get the answer they want.

The tomatoes are coming!
I’ve been out daily to count my red or turning red tomatoes, I’m finally over 50! Soon we’ll have too many.

Our neighbors look after our plants and mail while we are away on our vacation (a week on PEI). We always bring them back a big container of Cows chocolate covered chips. It’s nice to see that neighbor after we’ve given it to them and have them say how much they enjoy them.

Soon they’ll be back in school and lunch won’t be my problem.
