⭐️Word Walls⭐️
A reminder that once your child is confident reading their current word wall to please bring in to school so I can asses and issue the next stage

We have been learning all about adjectives this week. We know that adjectives add description and make sentences more interesting for the reader 📝✏️

In maths we have been rounding to the nearest 10. We know if a number have 4-0 in the ones column we round down. If we have 5-9 in the ones column we round up. We used this 100 square today to support us. Feel free to practice this at home! 🏠

The children have enjoyed exploring the new pumpkin patch in the hive today. 🍁

Thank you so much to everyone who supported MacMillan today. We still have lots of cakes and will be offering them for sale before break tomorrow for a small donation. If your child would like some please feel free to send them in with spare change which will go to the funds raised for MacMillan 🧁

P7 and P6/7 have organised our yearly Macmillan coffee morning this coming Monday. They would be really grateful for any donations of home baking if you are feeling in a baking mood over the weekend 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

🙏Dice Hunt
All but 1 of our class 20 sided dice have disappeared. Can you please keep an eye out for these and return any to the school if found.

Our small world area is set up for a dinosaur adventure this week! 🦖🦕🦖🦕

Today we talked about different strategies to support our addition. We then played an addition game with a partner where we could choose the strategy to best help us. ➕🧮🟰

🏡📝Homework has been handed out today. This includes a letter detailing what homework will consist of, log in details for Sumdog, a word wall and spelling grid.

🍫 A reminder that Friday is our Wonka Day where the PTA will be handing out pre ordered Wonka Bars in the hope to find a golden ticket. If you haven’t already handed in your slip and payment for this please do so as soon as possible 🍫🎫

We have had some exciting renovations to our Hive. Our dramatic play area is now a Hospital and we have expanded our small world area 🐝🐝

On Fridays we play a game of Bingo. This is a fun way to end the week while also helping us with our number recognition 🔢

We have found missing pages from a Red Ted reading book on Friday. If this is your book please bring it in on Monday and I can sort this

📚Reading Books have been handed out today. Please try to find time to read this with your child over the week. Books should be returned each Friday for a new one to be issued📚
