This week we will only have one reading book which will be issued on Friday. Fridays reading book will be the last for this term and we will restart after the holidays 📚📚📚

We have been learning about Data Handling over the last week. Today we created this pictogram of our favourite ice cream flavours. Each child added their cone to the graph 📊

Last week we wrote letters to Santa! Today we have taken these home in an envelope if you wish to post them to Santa! 🎅🏼

Some of us have been working on strategies to support adding two 2 digit numbers. We know to add out tens together we add our ones. We use these answers to calculate the total

We have been working on recognising and using greater than, less than and equal to signs as well as adding 3 single digit numbers

As the weather is getting colder can I please ask that you practise at home to ensure your child can zip up their own jacket and if possible practise tying shoe laces.

As part of Scottish Book week we are hosting a school Read-a-thon and a Get comfy to read dress down day on Friday 21st

After ordering our animals Alphabetically we drew them in our jotters.

We have been learning about Alphabetical order. Today we worked in pairs to order four under the sea animals into Alphabetical Order.

Yes it was only last week while I was assessing. Homework tasks on sumdog will be released on Friday ☺️

Sumdog- there will be no Sumdog homework task set this Friday as we are using Sumdog in class for assessment. If I can ask that you do not play Sumdog at home this week till assessments are complete

I hope everyone in P2M has a lovely October Break whether you are off on holiday or going lots of exciting things at home. We had a fantastic morning at the Gruffalo Clubhouse! I look forward to seeing you all in two weeks to start Term 2

A reminder that once your child is confident reading their current word wall to please bring in to school so I can asses and issue the next stage

We have been learning all about adjectives this week. We know that adjectives add description and make sentences more interesting for the reader 📝✏️

In maths we have been rounding to the nearest 10. We know if a number have 4-0 in the ones column we round down. If we have 5-9 in the ones column we round up. We used this 100 square today to support us. Feel free to practice this at home! 🏠

The children have enjoyed exploring the new pumpkin patch in the hive today. 🍁

P7 and P6/7 have organised our yearly Macmillan coffee morning this coming Monday. They would be really grateful for any donations of home baking if you are feeling in a baking mood over the weekend 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

🙏Dice Hunt
All but 1 of our class 20 sided dice have disappeared. Can you please keep an eye out for these and return any to the school if found.

Our small world area is set up for a dinosaur adventure this week! 🦖🦕🦖🦕

Today we talked about different strategies to support our addition. We then played an addition game with a partner where we could choose the strategy to best help us. ➕🧮🟰

🏡📝Homework has been handed out today. This includes a letter detailing what homework will consist of, log in details for Sumdog, a word wall and spelling grid.

🍫 A reminder that Friday is our Wonka Day where the PTA will be handing out pre ordered Wonka Bars in the hope to find a golden ticket. If you haven’t already handed in your slip and payment for this please do so as soon as possible 🍫🎫

We have had some exciting renovations to our Hive. Our dramatic play area is now a Hospital and we have expanded our small world area 🐝🐝

On Fridays we play a game of Bingo. This is a fun way to end the week while also helping us with our number recognition 🔢
