We just wanting to say a huge well done to the boys and girls for all the hard work and effort they put into making our nativity so wonderful! We hope you all enjoyed the show! 🥰😃

All the boys and girls in Primary 1 have made a beautiful Christmas tree decoration which will be on sale tomorrow at the Christmas fayre priced at £1.50.🎄

We have started learning about shapes. Today we were creating pictures using 2d shapes and idenfitying 2d shapes. We had pictures of houses, Santa, owls and robots!

Your child may have came home with words to learn for our Christmas Nativity 🎄 Please go over these every night as we would love it if they knew their words off by heart. Thank you ☺️

Nativity costume letters should be in school bags today. We are now practising on the stage and it is coming together nicely 😀

It is Children in Need day and we have lots of fun activities planned!

Today we were using 10 frames and different coloured counters to help us answer addition questions. Very impressive work 👏

Some of the children worked together to create this zoo. They thought of lots of details and knew what the animals would need.

Today’s activities are linked to our number work. We are learning to recognise number words, practising our number formation and recognising numbers that are presented in different ways such as tally marks 😁

Today we learned about bones and created these amazing x ray hand pieces of art. Don't they look amazing! 💀🦴

Today we read the short story "Not a stick" we then created out own uses for a stick. We had witches brooms, flower stems unicorn horns, surf boards and trucks.

Today we have been using our knowledge of sounds to blend and read simple words. Such amazing work! 😊

Thank you so much to everyone who supported MacMillan today. We still have lots of cakes and will be offering them for sale before break tomorrow for a small donation. If your child would like some please feel free to send them in with spare change which will go to the funds raised for MacMillan 🧁

P7 and P6/7 have organised our yearly Macmillan coffee morning this coming Monday. They would be really grateful for any donations of home baking if you are feeling in a baking mood over the weekend 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

2 weeks ago primary 1 put in a request for their favourite books and then today Maggie from Library Services came to visit us with a special delivery!

Today we are learning about the number 10! Our activities are all linked to the numbers 0 - 10 today 😀

This afternoon we went on a senses walk as part of our body topic. We had to think about the different things we could see, hear, feel and smell in the playground 🙂

One of our primary 1's has lost their school blazer. Could you please check that you have the correct blazer at home. It is labelled and we do have this spare one in school.

As we learn about each number we are exploring all the different ways that numbers can be represented including dice patterns, number lines, tally marks and ten frames.

We are learning the s sound. We can say the s sound, sing the s song, identify words beginning with s and we are learning to write s 🐍

P1 would be grateful for donations to help create a calm and homely learning environment. Resources such as lamps, cushions, beanbags, blankets, rugs, small chairs would be welcomed. Along with things such as picture frames, real tea pots, old electrical appliances. Thank you so much in advance ☺️

As the weather turns more autumnal (😢) the boys and girls need to wear their coats outdoors. We would really appreciate if you could practise putting coats on and off, zipping and buttoning and fixing inside out sleeves at home. Thank you ☺️
