kokuho is so good it should've won the oscars. it's unfortunate how asian cinema struggles to win when it comes to rigged and biased (global) award shows –– you know, the type that have a clear stance on which side they're on, if you know what i mean 🤫

if you're going to watch something mediocre and yap about it endlessly, i think it's to be expected that you at least remember the character's name – especially if it's the one played by an actor you love simply for their visual 😒

thinking about potential "shoujo live action prince" for the reiwa generation and... for some reason, i see sakurai kaito and/or fumiya in my head, but also... at the same time, i want them to be in better, more solid projects and not shoujos 😂

learn how to sing and dance first. learn how to act properly first. take those supporting roles, work your way up. why tf are we seeing casting announcements with them as leads all the freaking time since last year? this is annoying.

i need idols from that company to stay in their lane. they should focus on their vocal and dance skills first before invading the turf that doesn't belong to them. of course, they're welcome to try acting, but stop handing them lead roles when they're still so unpolished. i'm so tired of this.

propaganda game is annoying i don't know if i care to continue it. started the drama for coki, but now... even coki can't save me from feeling annoyed at the others. the cast is so weak and mid, especially the second lead (matsumoto)

we shall pray for hiroya's comeback to the acting world. considering how overly saturated (and not in the best way) the acting side of things in jdramas these days, we need all the good ones to be present (and hiroya is clearly one of the good ones)

my criticism for the script and how the episode's executed is not invalid. i'm not saying a poetic reunion shouldn't happened; i'm just saying the script could have given us an emotional reunion while also keeping the thriller aspect intact. like, both things can happen in the same episode???

just because a thriller show has teeny bit of romance because the main characters end up together doesn't mean the show's actual genre suddenly shifted from thriller to full on romance. it's STILL a thriller no doubt, which was how i approached my review.

why invalidate my perspective and opinions just because i digest a show – or rather, an EPISODE of a show – from a different standpoint? if you wanna digest it through romantic lenses, you do you, but don't "correct" me just because i view things from the lenses of the show's ACTUAL genre.

since bsky is very quiet, maybe i can use this space to rant even more than i already am on twt :))
