Pokemon Legends Z-A

I'm honestly shocked by how fun this game is. I tolerated the cast, disliked the story, and didn't particularly love the repetition of the ZA Royale, but it got its hooks in me just like any other Pokemon game.

On paper it shouldn't have worked for me, but I still had a blast

This game has basically no redeeming qualities, BUT you get to play as a cool knight that does fancy sword moves, so that was enough to embed it in my psyche as a kid

I don't think I've played any other game with the gall to delete your save data after beating it lol

Also in case its not being mentioned in your feed, there is still a remaining vote for this and Somehow they didn't anticipate the outrage, so there's apparently some hesitation now.

Idrisah and Gillie watch in surprise as Talita abruptly begins to turn around and head for the door, panicking. Talita: S- sorry, I still don't think I'm... ready... I'll come by later!! Gillie flushes with anger and leaps across the couch to grab Talita’s shirt sleeve. SFX: GRAB Talita stops walking and looks back at her in shock. Gillie is furious, ears flattened back, short white tail bristling. Gillie: (ASL) Do you want my help with sign or not!?

Gillie: (ASL) I'm not going to keep offering if you're gonna walk out every time! You’re being so fucking rude! Talita, hunched on all sixes, cringes away from Gillie's anger as her face begins to bristle with shame. Gillie: (ASL) If you don’t want to sign, I won’t force you. But I hate relying on this buggy app to talk to you! Idrisah awkwardly stands behind the couch with her bowl of fried crickets, politely looking away from the confrontation with a nervous sweat breaking out on her forehead. Gillie: (ASL) I don’t get it!! You’ve clearly gone out of your way to learn comprehension. Is this a pity project that you’re too bored with to finish?! Gillie slumps on down on the arm of the couch, looking at her phone as she waits for Talita to reply. Talita sits, quietly staring at her with an expression of devastation. Talita: No, I’m… She struggles to extract the words for what she's feeling. Talita: Embarrassed.

Gillie: (ASL) Why?? Gillie looks back to her phone angrily. Idrisah walks closer, looking apologetically between Gillie and Idrisah. Idrisah: Talita, it's a language that was never intended for your body. We won't judge you if you struggle to pick it up. Talita: I’m going to judge myself. Gillie sneers. Gillie: (ASL) For what!? Not being human? Talita cringes as if she'd been struck. She makes an admission as heavy as it is small. Talita: Yes.

Solid show! This is my first Super Sentai I’ve watched live, and it was alright. Some of the story beats were underwhelming / weirdly paced, but the great action and likable characters kept me interested. I'm going to miss Taiya, Mira, and Yarucar especially.

Super fun and addictive, and a big improvement on Attack the Light. The updated battle system was a blast; I'd love to see its hybridization of Chrono Trigger and Mario & Luigi combat mechanics in another (preferably harder + less buggy) RPG.
