I guess Isaac was a stand-in for Nathan.

I just checked after listening to the most recent QL episode.

Dr. MLK Jr's grandfather was James King, and great grandfather was Nathan King.

It does appear that the last name was changed to "King" after emancipation. The original last name was Branham/Brannam.

This movie is legit one of my favorite movies of all time and one of my comfort movies. When my father died, I watched this movie quite a lot during my darkest months.

I am still looking forward to this review.

I feel the need to say this as a millennial: being told one cannot get a certain job because they have no (or too little) experience, is the same gaslighting, gatekeeping rhetoric I have seen for decades. Maybe it's nothing new, but it is a really lousy argument against a political candidate.

Hypothetically, could the mayor of a city declare that an agency or officers such as ICE officers were to be classified as unwelcome or an unlawful presence, then order city police to treat them as hostiles? Could they also decree that city police failing to do so would be derelict of duty?

This morning, I was taking the usual bus that I take, and it was PACKED. It's never packed, most of the people on the bus, I have never seen before.
