They used to sell lady beetles labeled as lady bugs. That's why they are so prevalent. Luckily, most states have outlawed this practice. If yours has not, check the bugs to make sure.

Finding a group of them like this is pretty rare. But from the spots on the head, they do look like actual Lady Bugs (rather than invasive lady beetles). Nice shot!

Lady bugs can vary and be slightly orange as well. It's more where the white spots are - on the black head or on the red wings. These are on the head, so you are likely correct. Lady Beattles (aka Asian lady beetles).
Not very helpful for the environment of North America. Highly invasive.

And this is why we-the-people should confiscate their estate when this is done. Use it to pay the restoration efforts.
