Dull and a bit damp out there this afternoon. #ShitWildlifePhoto entries - Kestrel, 2 herons and 2 pheasants. Also pictured the big pile of shit I wouldn’t let the dog climb on / roll in / eat. She’s still sulking now.

I have one and it’s been really good, it has a cover on it - not sure if that makes a huge amount of difference but I’ve got no complaints.

Beach walk with the dog this afternoon, all a bit dull and grey. The dogs attempt at jumping over the groyne was somewhat less than graceful 😂

Woody walk this afternoon. Nothing else to report.

A kestrel sat atop a wooden post at the edge of an apple orchard.

A red ladybird with black spots walks along the arm of a wooden bench.

Grabbed a couple for #ShitWildlifePhoto as well - a Kestrel (not the usual one) and a ladybird that was wandering along the bench I was sat on.

A disco chicken (peacock). Its tail feathers are looking a bit shabby.

Two fallow deer stags, one is laying down, the other is standing behind it. Both are looking towards the camera.

A reddish brown pig, its big floppy ears almost covering its eyes.

Afternoon wander with the dog, saw a disco chicken, a whole bunch of deer (in the deer park) and some friendly pigs.

I recently retrieved my copy of Space Crusade from my parents loft. Some quality paint jobs going on 😂

Don’t look in the freezer, that’s a whole different level. I’m clearing dad’s house at the moment - emptying the chest freezer, oldest thing I’ve found so far is rhubarb from 1996 😮

Had spare oven capacity so I made some cinnamon swirls. Icing skills need work - looks like someone has jizzed on them.

Starting the day with #ShitWildlifePhoto there were a load of long tailed tits in the garden this morning. I was going to prune that tree but I might leave it now as they seem to like it.

I saw some geese the other evening when I was out walking the dog. I think these ones live nearby and just commute between their roost and feeding areas.

Managed a field walk this evening as we went before dinner and the sky was clear, not going to get many more before it’s too dark. There was a hot air balloon about - they were presumably racing the light as well.

Bright start to the day, proper autumnal feel to it this morning.

It was just rising when I took the dog out earlier.

It’s a #ShitWildlifePhoto bonanza this evening- geese of some sort, a mallard and moorhen hanging out together and the usual Kestrel.
The geese one isn’t too bad really.

Took the dog to the beach so she could have a good run. She was happy - got to play with a ball and she found a dead dogfish to eat. I’m sure she’ll have catastrophic wind later.

Second dog walk done whilst it’s still light. The wind has eased off and there’s no more rain. Managed a #ShitWildlifePhoto pair of- Buzzard and Mallards.

Errr - my lava lamp has gone a bit “adult” 😂
